Safeguarding children's vision for better learning

About the Program

About See2Read

See2Read Programme is a flagship program to safeguard the vision of school-going poor children (minimum of 1,000) aged 5 through 15 years located in rural areas.

According to educational experts, 80% of learning is visual. So if a child can't see well, they can't learn well. As per statistics in India, 22% of children (1 out of 5) are suffering with sight-related problems during their schooling. It may be because of nutrition, poor lighting, access to CRT TVs and/or smart gadgets.

We mobilize doctors and necessary computerized eye-testing equipment to rural schools and have children screened thoroughly to detect eye-sight problems. We also provide spectacles to children detected with poor eye-sight at free of cost.
